Nice crisp morning with a good wind with the first race being won by Danny and the second by Steve.
A good beat showed the technical skills of the sailors with slightly gusty winds in the first race.
November 5th tradition ensued as the club Commodore plotted to shorten the second race using the “Commodore’s prerogative” as the increased.
Light wind but an unseasonably warm day. Felt more like July than mid October. Charlie Brookes sailed his first races as crew for his Dad. Was he forward of the mast? 😉
Rex was the only competitor for the Centripump Cup which he won on the 20th August. At his request, the race was re-run on the 27th August and was won by Jake Richardson.
The wind was very light to non-existent in the second race and it was abandoned.
Very light South Easterly wind. Second race was abandoned 35 minutes after start.
Good day for sailing and great to see Isla complete both races with her Dad, Danny, in his Laser.
Danny pipped Nigel to win the Laser Cup leaving Neil and Bob to fight it out for third place. Neil tried to break his record for the number of capsizes in one race! Bob was left wishing he’d used his new sail!
Neil won Race 2 despite a death roll on the run with Danny also capsizing the lap before at the leeward mark.
