Despite two terrible starts Danny won both races from Steve in light to no wind. Jake was leading on handicap for much of the time but faded towards the end of both races and just lost out.
Very gusty northwesterly up to F6 in the first race. Lots of capsizes. Nicolette on Safety Boat dived in to help a struggling Topper. Steve won the first and lost a close battle for the second with Andrew.
In flukey light winds from the north it looked like Danny had won both races by miles, but the wind got up at the end of the second race and Rex powered through to win his first race of the series.
A brilliant sunny day but 5 foot waves on the slipway (allegedly) and blowing F6-8 (so they say).
On a sunny and very light wind day Danny won the only race crewed by his daughter Isla (as ‘lookout’). Now that discards have come in, Danny leads the series in the Fast fleet with Neil second and Steve third. In the Slow fleet Nigel leads with newcomer Josh Edwards in second and Teilo third.
Andrew was leading in challenging conditions (F5-6 and very choppy) when he lost his mainsheet on the last lap AND NEIL WENT ON TO WIN.
In a light easterly and strong tide Danny gets another two firsts and leads the series by miles.
Danny wins the first 2 races of the new series in light to moderate westerly and full on sun, and but only just. Nigel was a close 2nd in the second race.
It didn’t seem like Summer. A lumpy boat breaking day (fortunately no boats were broken) with southeasterly F5.
Danny won the Fast Fleet with Steve 2nd in the RS700 and Neil 3rd. Teilo won the Slow.
Steve wins the Watler Cup in a Laser and Rex wins the Centripump in a F4 Southerly with rain.
